Howling for Changeling Moon -- part of the "The 18 and Over Book Blogger Giveaway Hop"

Changeling Moon on Amazon
ABOUT THE CHANGELING SERIES

The Peace River region of northern Canada is a unique place where raw wilderness exists side by side with farmers’ fields. And in the quiet rural community of Dunvegan, human beings unknowingly exist side by side with those who are something more than human. They call themselves Changelings, and they have the ability to become wolves at will.
Changelings live as humans – they have jobs and pay bills and go to school and mow the grass and do all the things that humans do. They view their wolfen side as a wonderful gift, but it also complicates their lives, sometimes dangerously so. Especially when it comes to relationships.

CHANGELING MOON is the first book in this paranormal series, which centers around the Macleod family of shapeshifters.  Here’s the back cover blurb to give you an overview:

He roams the moonlit wilderness, his every sense and instinct on high alert. Changeling wolf Connor Macleod and his Pack have never feared anything — until the night human Zoey Tyler barely escapes a rogue werewolf's vicious attack.

As the full moon approaches, Zoey has no idea of the changes that are coming, and only Connor can show her what she is, and help her master the wildness inside.  With her initiation into the Pack just days away and a terrifying predator on the loose, the tentative bonds of trust and tenderness are their only weapons against a force red in tooth, claw... and ultimate evil.

HOT TEASER
(Hey, it IS an “Over 18” event!)
from CHANGELING MOON
by Dani Harper

Connor was leaning into her yet Zoey didn’t back up a single step. She matched his passion with her own, licked and nipped at his mouth, his tongue. Bit his chin again but lapped over it softly to ease the sting. There was no hesitation in her as her hands clawed lightly down his back, then slid around to flick open his jeans. Her fingertips circled upward, tugging apart his denim shirt. Buttons flew, but there was no pause, no uncertainty as she brushed her lips across his bare chest and gently seized a nipple in her teeth.

He froze, sucking in his breath. Her tongue played with the captive nipple, then she nuzzled her way to its mate before resuming her original mission—to get this man naked. Her hands outlined the hard muscles of his upper body, rubbed up and over his broad shoulders, then eased the shirt down his powerful arms, over the strong hands. She held the warm garment close to her face as she stepped back for a moment, instinctively drinking in the scent of him as she took in the sight. He stood perfectly still, allowing her to look.

Fully clothed, the man was sigh-worthy. Shirtless, his jeans unbuttoned and riding low on his hips, he was simply heart-stopping. The candles’ glow revealed a powerful body that combined strength with an easy grace, yet she sensed that the difference between Day Connor and Night Connor went deeper than appearance. There was something dangerous here, a force barely leashed. It radiated from him, unseen yet palpable. She hesitated. . . .

And he winked.

Just that quickly he was back to the Connor she knew, his pale gray eyes amused. She laughed a little, more at herself than anything, but didn’t move closer, not yet. Instead her fingertips moved to the buttons of her blouse. The amusement vanished from his face. It was his turn to watch, to look. To want. Peeling away the plaid material, she dropped it to the floor and ran her hands over her lace-trimmed cami. There was no bra beneath it and her nipples stood out plainly. His eyes followed her fingertips as she slid first one thin strap off her shoulder, then the other...

She never saw him move. In one heartbeat, she was standing, in the next, she was tangled on the floor with Connor.

    1. I think it's cool that you're introducing your children to books at a young age. Even if they can't read, they can look at the pictures and listen to the story while someone else reads it. My mom took me to the library long before I could even read and I'm sure that had a huge impact on me.

  2. My favorite prize, is as always a signed book. Not only do I get to read it, it's usually personlized, and it's wonderful to have something like that on my book shelves. Currently I only have 3 signed books, but I LOVE your book, and I don't have one from you yet!!!! *fingers crossed*

  3. Last year I won a bath gift basket from Monica Burns. I have to say, that was probably my favorite win of last year. Other great prizes on blogs this past year have been candles, etsy jewelry, and boxes of chocolate. Who's not gonna love a box of chocolate?

  4. I loved the excerpt and now I have to read this book - LOL My favorite prize is always receiving books from the author especially if they are signed but sometimes it is just nice to get them on the Kindle or the Nook. I won a kindle once and of course my youngest daughter snatched it away for her own use - LOL However, I think what I love the most besides winning books at hops is the fact that I meet so many new authors and make new friends along the way.

  5. My favorite prize would have to be something that would express the feeling of the books that are written by the author. Each author is a unique person with characteristics that somehow come together to form the words and stories placed on the pages of her books. A signed book is always a magical thing to have, a charm for a bracelet that encompasses the feeling of the author's work would be great. dancersmoon@gmail.com

  10. My favourite prize from a book blog or author is always first and foremost a signed book! It's nice when other things are thrown in as well like book marks and I received a sort of wallet shaped pen drive with downloaded goodies relating to the series before. One of my favourite prizes I one was from Kelley Armstrong cause it was a signed ARC of one of her books and I also one a limited book that wasn't available anymore. It just makes the book extra speacial that it's from an author you enjoy and has been signed to you personally!

  56. I guess I'm with the majority here when I say my favorite wins are signed books, sign bookmarks, gift cards & totes! I've seen and won some very cool swag (t-shirts, coffee mugs, chocolate & swag of every description)-- I LOVE the kindle & ipad giveaways when the author does the custom skins depicting the book cover or characters from the book!

    1. I've never seen the custom skins, but what a GREAT idea! I hope someday I'm in a position to offer a Kindle --- I totally love mine and would like to see everyone have one!

  57. Like most other people, my favorite prize is an autographed book. I of course love big prizes like Kindles and iPads and such, but really, I'm an autograph hound.

As for unique gifts, I once won a pack of gummy werewolf candy as part of a goody bag lol

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  59. I love getting bookstore gift cards as prizes. The most unique prize I got was a bracelet that the author made. It was a piece of jewelry that was used in the story. I thought that was very unique.

  60. I like what stacie D said. I think it would be cool to get something made by the author that a character in a book wore. My fav gift so far had been gift cert. because then I can pick my book. Sometimes when there are more than one book offered I typically win the one I already have instead of the one I didn't have. Makes me feel bad since I kinda took gift away from someone that didn't have it. sorry for rambling late here and getting punchy lol

  61. Thanks for being on the hop!

I have won some pretty cool things. Autographed books (Love them), book marks, swag, chocolates, Bath and Body Works, I love them all. My most amazing thing I ever won was a LARGE basket full of items from the Author's trip to Vegas. It coincided with her book which is set in Vegas. And I love all things Vegas. The story is, "For the Love of Quinn." There were so many things in it, I couldn't begin to name them all. But my favorite was the book autographed and a handmade necklace.

  62. I really like all the different prizes besides the books. Pretty cool. My preference is books but love the other stuff as well. The coolest thing I've won was a tote with the authors characters on the front and the book cover. really cool.

    1. Sounds like a lovely tote! I've been looking for totes with a smoother surface that might take a more complex photo such as a book cover better.

  70. Thanks for the chance to win a great gift. I love when I get anything. Winning is fun in itself. I love the tots. I don't really use the bookmarks but that's because I don't read paper books. LOL. The ones I do win I tape into a large poster frame. Trying to cover it all.
