Recently I fell in love with Karen Marie Moning's Fever series, so that's been my summer reading project so far. On book 3! Also on my list are more of the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher (I'm on Book 3) and the Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne (I'm on Book 4). And because summer is a perfect time to reread old favorites from the keeper shelf, I'm just finishing the Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts. Last but definitely not least, I have my copy of Lover Reborn by JR Ward standing by --- I'm a dedicated BDB fan!

Congrats on Changeling Dream getting chosen as one of the top ten books of 2011! Deserves it! I'm happiest curled up in a chair in my living room or else curled up with a load of pillows in bed to read! Only two places I can get some peace and quiet to read!
ReplyDeletesuzi1811 (at) fsmail (dot) net
Thanks Suzi! And I have a pile of pillows on my bed too, just for reading!
DeleteWhen I get quiet time I curl up on the couch with a pillow or hide outside on the porch and hope no one finds me. Alas, that is usually in less than 5 minutes. That is why I usually stay up way to late and need loads of coffee the next day! lfacchini(at)tampabay(dot)rr(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI think they should invent camouflage specifically for book readers, LOL!
DeleteMy favorite reading spot is at our kitchen table. Love reading and drinking coffee! :)
ReplyDeleteTOPSAIL246(at)aol(dot)com
Coffee and books are definitely meant to be together! Sometimes my hubby and I both read at the kitchen table.
DeleteMy favourite reading spot is on my bed resting on a mountain of pillows, super comfy :)
ReplyDeletebookdevoteereviews(at)hotmail(dot)com
My hubby laughs at my nest of pillows, but they're all very important -- I have to stack them in a particular order too!
DeleteI love reading at corner cafés in town... they always face walkways, rather than streets, and the bustling of everyone gets me in that mood to delve in a good book :)
ReplyDeleteStephanie
thestephanieloves AT gmail DOT com
That sounds perfect! I enjoy reading in busy places -- I don't mind the noise at all because none of it pertains to me.
DeleteMy favorite reading spot is definitely on my bed. There's something so comforting about reading while laying under a blanket.
ReplyDeletedanni0113(at)gmail(dot)com
I like the blanket thing too -- I have a big soft fuzzy one that makes me feel especially cozy!
DeleteMy favorite reading spot is my bed. I can move into different positions easier that way LOL!
ReplyDeleteriverinaromantic AT aol DOT com
The only downside to reading on my bed is that I usually want to wear my pajamas too. This is less desirable in the middle of the afternoon....
DeleteThe best place is on the bed with those pillows behind me.
ReplyDeleteOr in the park by the lake, weather permitting laying on a lounge chair.
Thanks for the opportunity. You're going to LOVE KMM's Fever books. One of the best Highlander series.Love her work.
Carol L
Lucky4750 (at) aol (dot) com
*waving* to another KMM fan! Reading outside is a big treat for me too (of course, doing ANYTHING outside is a treat on this rain-drenched island, LOL)
DeleteMy favorite reading spot is on the bed off course with my pillow.
ReplyDeleteicha09(at)gmail(dot)com
Some people can lie down to read, but I always have to sit up. So I need a LOT of pillows to get comfy.
Deletecongratulations dani!!
ReplyDeletemy fave reading spot? anywhere where i can get cozy with a book, i'm not picky :D
Thanks Sienny! I agree, anywhere can be a great place to read. The real treat is to get the chance to do it!
DeleteMy favorite spot is the sofa with a soft light beside me and a cup of hot peppermint tea!
ReplyDeletedsadler53 at yahoo dot ca
A hot drink really enhances the reading experience -- there's something soothing about it. Maybe I read better when I'm relaxed. :)
DeleteI love reading out on the beach, listening to the ocean tides and the seagulls calling, oh crap, knew I should have put up the umbrella. :)
ReplyDeletembast06@yahoo.com
LOL -- gotta watch out for those seagulls! I agree, the beach is a wonderful place for thinking, reading, writing.
DeleteHi Dani,
ReplyDeleteCongrats was chosen of top ten books 2011 :)
my favorite all the time is my bed room.
eli_y83@yahoo.com
Thanks Eli! I think our bedrooms tend to be our sanctuaries.
DeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteI love to lay out on the hammock in the morning before it gets to hot.
Mmafsmith at gmail dot com
Oh, I MISS my hammock! I had a big soft string one in the back yard before I moved to Alaska. It was my favorite place to decompress on summer evenings.
DeleteMy favorite reading place is anywhere my grandkids aren't. If they see me reading they want me to read to them. There is only so many Dr Suess books I can read before I need my fix of hot alpha men!
ReplyDeleteproudarmymom32(at)yahoo(dot)com
ROFL! I love Dr. Seuss, but I agree!
DeleteIf it's nice and warm here (which is rare lately) then I'm outside sitting in the sun on the deck. And that usually means the kids are also in the back, but playing in the sprinkler w/ the pup.
ReplyDeleteIf it's chilly, then I'm in my recliner cuddled under blankets! And I can't stand being cold *yells* warm up Oregon!
Thanks again!
Sebrina_Cassity at yahoo dot com
I hear you -- I wish it would warm up here in Alaska too! It's been under 40 degrees every morning for the past few days -- and that's cold even by OUR standards for this time of year!
DeleteThe beach! :D ♥
ReplyDeletestephanie.verhaegen@hotmail.com
The beach is really a classic, isn't it? I have to have a little shade in order to manage it, but is there anything more relaxing?
Deletethanks for the giveaway. I would I would say on the bed, it's always so comfy, I love to read there! Or if it's too hot, I like to read outsite under the sun.
ReplyDeleteellana_(at)hotmail(dot)fr
I think my years in Alaska have rendered me unfit for full sun --- but if there's some shade, I love reading outdoors.
DeleteCurled up on the couch or in bed.
ReplyDeleteMegblod@yahoo.com
Couches can be great. We have a sectional couch and there's four different spots I can read in for quite a stretch of time...
DeleteI love to read curled up in bed...or hopefully out in the sun at the pool! jennirv4967 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteOOoooooo --- if there's a POOL, I'm going to be IN it!
DeleteI read and take my Nook with me everywhere. I don't have a particular favorite spot. Everywhere is my favorite spot!
ReplyDeletemolly(dot)frenzel(at)gmail(dot)com
I feel the same about my Kindle --- my library goes with me wherever I go, and I can read ANYWHERE!
DeleteOn the swing in my backyard...i hope to get a hammock soon :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to win!!
raynman1979 at yahoo dot com
The swing sounds really nice! Hammocks are good too -- miss mine, hope to have another one someday.
DeleteHAMMOCKS!!!!!! thanks for the chance!!!
ReplyDeletediannaandpaul@yahoo.com
And the hammocks get another vote! I find they don't work well here in southeast Alaska because of all the rain, but it's on my list as a backyard MUST whenever we move south!
DeleteHi Dani!
ReplyDeleteHere is my favorite reading place:
my reading spot
Hope all is well!
~Sara
Hi Sara! Love the pics of your comfy chairs -- and I tend to sit on my armchairs sideways too! I don't know why that seems more comfortable, but it just does, LOL!
Deletesimply my bed ;) it's where I'm most comfortable and happy
ReplyDeletesharonda
mslowman@gmail.com
Sometimes simple is the best!
DeleteI love reading outside when the weather permits.
ReplyDeletesionedkla@gmail.com
Me too -- but we haven't received much permission from the weather yet this year! Cold and rainy so far, but I keep hoping that someday Summer will come!
DeleteI like curling up on the couch to read:)
ReplyDeleteandieleah78@gmail.com
P.S. Make sure you have a big box of tissues when you read Lover Reborn!!! Oh and did you see the cover reveal of Lover at Last...ooh Qhuinn is so yummy!!!!
I JUST saw the cover of Lover at Last (great title too). Quinn's eyes are amazing! This story is long overdue and I don't know how I'm going to make it to March of 2013!
DeleteI have a big, old, comfy couch, with a coffee table nearby stacked with books. It's Heaven on earth.
ReplyDeletemarypres(AT)gmail(DOT)com
My coffee table is stacked with books too --- I keep clearing them away, but they come back!
DeleteI have a couple of favorite reading places. If the weather is nice I love to sit on my patio swing with a glass of iced tea or if it's too hot or cold I have a comfy chair in the living room with sunny windows.
ReplyDeletesuz2(at)cox(dot)net
Oooooo -- a patio swing and iced tea! What a lovely setting!
DeleteAwesome giveaway... thanks!
ReplyDeleteyadkny@hotmail.com
You're welcome -- I love holding giveaways and contests! It's a lot of fun!
DeleteI love curling up in bed with a good book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. :)
chellesy.clay at gmail dot com
I think "bed" has gotten the most votes so far --- is there a more comfy place in the whole world?
DeleteMy favorite reading spot in fine weather is out my back garden. I have a amazing view of the mountains and a wood, but on rainy days its in my bedroom.
ReplyDeletenatcleary(at)gmail(dot)com
A garden spot would be lovely by itself, but with a view too? Double delight!
DeleteI am really not a sun person. So right now during the summer I like to stay in. Don't like the sun much. So my favorite spot to read is pretty much anywhere inside my apartment. I know I am weird. When it's cloudy and cold out, I love to go to the beach or park to read. Thanks for this great giveaway! I like that you don't really have to read the books in order. Thanks again.
ReplyDelete-Maritza R
mararob80 at gmail dot com
A lot of us have eyes or skin that are sensitive to the sun, or don't like the sunscreen we're advised to wear (most of them sting my skin). So it's not weird to avoid it. And it wouldn't be crowded at a beach or park when it's cool and cloudy! You'd have your choice of spots!
DeleteMy favorite reading spot is in my bed. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeletenatasha_donohoo_8 at hotmail dot com
Beds are SOOO popular for reading in!
DeleteMy fav spot is my bed, pile of pillows & blanket and a carafe of coffee I`m all set. Thx 4 the chance!!

DeleteMy favorite spot for reading is in bed with my Jack Russell snoring away next to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway.
ljberma01@gmail.com
LOL - I get to read with my pugs, Fiona and Toby, snoring next to me. Actually, I get to write with them snoring in the background too!
DeleteMy favorite reading spot is the glider on the deck..
ReplyDeleteYvette
yratpatrol@aol.com
Mmmm - my gramma had a glider in her garden. I totally loved it, but of course, as a kid I was more into seeing how high I could make it go -- which made Gram a bit cross.
DeleteMy favorite reading spot...I have this circular comfy chair positioned right in front of my window in the family room. Other than that anywhere quiet will do too.
ReplyDeleteNadine
countrygirl91351@yahoo.com
Love the sound of that chair!
DeleteCongratulations on be chosen !! That is wonderful!

DeleteMy favorite reading spot is my comfy chair on our screened in porch.

ReplyDeletetiger-chick-1(at)hotmail(dot)com
The bed wins again! Definitely the hands-down fav in these comments.
DeleteThanks for the chance to win. My favorite spot is the lazy boy recliner chair, the only problem is getting out of it :)
ReplyDeleteOooooo --- I had a recliner a few years back that I'm STILL missing. It was the best place for reading AND writing with my laptop!
DeleteIt's lovely to read out in my garden on a sunny afternoon but mostly I read in a big squishy armchair with my feet up.
ReplyDeleteirgl7(at)bonzo15(dot)plus(dot)com
That sounds SO comfy! And I definitely like to have my feet up too.

Wow, that's a lot of cats! They could really keep you warm.
DeleteI strongly recommend the Iron Druid books on audio book. The narrator, Luke Daniels, does an excellent job and you will love oberon's voice. It's exactly the way you';d think an Irish hound would talk...if it could.
ReplyDeleteacm05atjuno.com
I LOVE the Iron Druid books, but truly, I never thought of trying an audio version. I think I'm always a little scared the characters won't sound like I think they should --- but now you have me intrigued! Thanks!
DeleteSitting in my big easy chair.
ReplyDeletelesaneace@msn.com
I wonder why they're called "easy" chairs --- maybe because you "take it easy" in them?
DeleteCongrats, Dani!! My fave spot is sitting all stretched out in my huge overstuffed chair 1/2 that sits next to a big arched window in my family room...and of course my cat is right there with me...a constant lap warmer.
