What makes a hero hot to me?
I had to think about that for a while. The men in my shapeshifter series are swoonworthy specimens of both human and wolf --- big, strong, and easy on the eyes (hey, this IS fantasy, right?). My heroes aren't short on brains or personality either!
However, I think what wins me over every single time is their determination to do the right thing no matter how awkward, inconvenient, or downright gut-wrenchingly hard it might be. They are men of honor and men of their word --- even when they're running as wolves.

My hot summer hero would be the type of man who who is tough on the outside, but gentle when it counts. I like a man who is hard working with strong family values. He'd be strong both physically and emotionally, and daring because who doesn't like the 'bad boy' we all itch to be the one to tame. He'd be completely devoted, caring and respectful. Handsome of course, and would rock my world.

I guess everyone loves the forbidden. My absolute favorite paranormal heroes would be vampires and shifters, next would be witch's/warlocks but I also love the sci-fi alien stuff too. Heck, if it has anything to do with paranormal or romance, or better yet the combo, I'll love it!

A hero is hot when he's got that tender heart on the inside (the one where it's completely obvious to everyone but him that he's in love and wants to be loved in return) but on the outside he's Alpha and strong, kind of a bad ass attitude sort-of look. :) And if he's a paranormal hero, most definitely needs to have the sexiness of a wolf....that growl low in his throat when he's frustrated :)

So he didn't have muscles like Triple H (sorry to me that is TOO much) but he had that nice slender build, nothing to sneeze about. But the snark gets me cackling and giggling. Since I am more self conscious I have to live through characters.

Tall Dark and Handsome. A confident protector; the typical Alpha Male does it for me! I like it when the hero needs the women as much as she needs him. A mutually equal relationship. I am a strong female, so there you go. Money is not issue. I would be just as happy living in the forest or jungle in the middle of no where or living in the top floor penthouse. As far as gifts or special talents; elemental talents are always fun, especially FIRE, mind reading is really cool, and always battle ready is HOT! A hot guy with weapons and the talent to know how to use them is like Icecream with toppings, whip cream, and the cherry on top!
ReplyDeleteI like an equal relationship too. It's a turn off for me if the heroine isn't the hero's equal. She doesn't have to have his muscle but she should definitely know her own mind and not be pushed around.
DeleteOh and shape shifting is also very hot. Especially since they are so easy going about being nude. Always a plus for us normal humans ;D

Lol overall loving and tender yet loves to take control mainly in the bedroom.. I like them to have no hair on their chest but if have to just a little built. Rugged look where even with a beard he would still be hot. hands that are a little rough and muscles that makes you want to take a bit out of and of course it would be lovely to have him with a big long thick..... ;)

I've GOT to weigh in on this question. Been reading the FEVER series by Karen Marie Moning and I have to admit, I love her bad boys. Jericho Barrons and V'Lane are amazing. I'm only on the third book, just starting the fourth, so I don't know if they'll continue to be reluctant heroes or reveal a more evil side, but I'm INTRIGUED!
