  5. I always love the gifts my Grandma gives us. She gives us random things from her house, she says she is downsizing. They are usually quirky things, but somehow she always remembers what each of us like.

  19. I've never been so happy with a Christmas gift as when I got a Cindy doll when I was 6 or so. We didn't have money for such unnecessary things as toys back then, so it was a real surprise.

  23. Hi Dani:)

I've been given so many cool things over the years. My brother, who died when he was 19, gave me a laptop desk that he made in shop, complete with velvet in the inside. It's cool, and I still have it. He died over 25 years ago.

  26. I think the best gift I ever got was to be able to spend the day with my husband on our second anniversary on December 8, 2009. Here is why. In September of 2009 I was rushed to the emergency room because I was paralyzed and had a temperature of over 101.4. Turns out I had compression in my spine and pneumonia. I get emergency surgery and I woke up in ICU with a breathing tube in my mouth. I was in the Hospital for roughly 3 weeks then in early October I go to a rehab. Hospital. I spend my birthday, Halloween(my favorite holiday) and Thanksgiving there with very little means of celebrating them. I get out on December 6, 2009. At this time I am still using a wheelchair and can walk with a walker if I have to. We went to our anniversary dinner with me in a wheelchair but it was just wonderful sitting next to him and later sleeping beside him that night.

  28. Thank you for the invitation to the blog hop!
In the Fall of 2009 my DH gave me the best surprise ever. Our anniversary is in Nov., and both our birthdays are within days of each others right after Christmas.
I answered our front door one afternoon after work and a FED EX driver was at the door. I signed for the package, and took it too my husband as it was addressed to him. He was busy doing something complicated on his laptop and asked me to go ahead and open the package for him. I opened the box and there was a Kindle DX within. When I turned to hand it to him and he is just grinning his fool head off. My DH says Happy Anniversary early...*S* He just couldn't stand it and wait to give it to me early....I love it. I stopped reading a few years earlier because with all our moving the last several years I simply got tired of having all my books packed away. Now i can have my whole library with me all the time.
Thank for being part of the blog hop!
Wishing you continued success and all the best!

  29. I would say my most memorable xmas gift was the book 5 people you meet in heaven. I received this book while my father was losing his battle with colon cancer. It gave me a form of hope yet sadness. My dad passed away only a few days after that christmas, but it is definitely a gift I treasure.

  38. It was when I was 10 and my parents gave me a Barbie doll house. Granted it was in the sixties so it was cardboard that folded out in sections for all the rooms. I thought this was great and went along with the other things they got me. They also hid one from me which turned out to be my first television set. It was so awesome!
